  • We are pleased to report that our opening ceremony was a great success. During two hours of opening, it has attracted over hundreds of visitors who are truly interested for Vietnamese culture.

We also had the honor to welcome Vietnam’s ambassador  to The Netherlands, His Excellence Mr. Ha Huy Thong as key note speaker and cut the ribbon at the opening.

Quang, a famous Vietnamese music player and singer also performed at the opening. He had brought us unique sound of Đàn Bầu ( monochord ), a traditional musical instrument of Vietnam. Its harmonic sound, full, rich of overtones and ornaments which hardly can be found at any other instruments.

Several paintings were sold,  in addition the painting “The Girl” was auctioned for twice the listed price. All the proceeds of the auction were donated to the Medisch Committe Nederland Vietnam.

Vietnamese art comes from far away – Delicate softness of touch and Oriental depth. A faint memory of Indochina, a whiff of opium forgetfulness, a fisherman’s boat – the tip of the rod still kissing the night, pointed hast glowing against the retreating sky, a bare back that has everything to hide…

Minh Phuong, Van Anh, Phan Hoa, Minh Phu, Hoang Minh, Ngoc Thang and Nguyen Nguyen are among the renowned artists whose work features in worldwide collections in France, Germany, Denmark, USA, China, New Zealand, Sweden, UK, Switzerland, Singapore, Japan, Hongkong and now on view in the Netherlands.
